KrakenKraken - Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy IX

The squid-like fiend of water that rules over the Underwater Temple. It was the Kraken that was responsible for sinking the temple in the distant past, and now along with the other fiends threatens the world once again. Kraken reappears in Final Fantasy IX as one of the chaos guardians sent to protect the gateway to Terra, and later revived by Kuja to defend Memoria.
