 Professor Gast Faremis - Final Fantasy VII
The genius scientist in charge of overseeing the Jenova Project. Unlike many of the other Shinra scientists in the world of FFVII, he is a kind and moral man, and grows discontent with the Jenova Project's directions. To escape, he flees to Icicle Inn where he meets Ifalna, the last surviving Ancient, and it is there he learns much about the truth of Jenova. He eventually falls in love with Ifalna, and they have a child, Aerith. Hojo tracks them down though, and kills Gast, taking Ifalna and Aerith back to Midgar.
